she had it all together.
Like she knew what she was doing.
And then one day it clicked.
She was just a woman in her 30s.
Living her life for the first time too.
Trying to figure it out.
Trying to balance having fun and having purpose.
A career and friendships.
Being a woman and being a mom.
And now I see it so clearly —
because here I am.
35 years old.
Doing this for the first time too.
Making it up as I go.
Loving my kids deeply while still wanting a full, alive, interesting life.
That realization softened something in me.
Toward her.
Toward myself.
