whenever i’m asked how i started in showbiz, i always say i’m an “accidental artist” —because it was never part of the plan. when the pandemic hit in 2020 (i was a fresh grad in 2019), our factory had to shut down, freeze hiring everywhere, and all doors closed… except one: acting career. looking back, aya 10 years ago would’ve never imagined this life.
now that we’ve stepped into the “new normal” (5 years already??), and i’m given the chance to revive the company and do both, it’s true what they say: “you can only connect the dots looking back.” i wouldn’t have had the means to invest in bigger machines or rebuild the corporation @ecoulingph in 2022 if it weren’t for my showbiz career.
i’m sharing this to express my deepest gratitude to my @starmagicphils family, @abscbn, to all the brands who trusted me, supporters, and of course, to God. five years ago, i kept asking why i was here and what i was doing in this industry. but now, this path has given me a platform, opportunities, magical experiences, and chosen families i never would’ve met if not for showbusiness. 🙏🏾
for this last month of the year, may we all find peace in the journeys we’ve taken —whether they were chosen, unexpected, or simply the only choice we had. may we honor them, embrace them, and keep moving forward with *grace.
