The way you walk this planet is unlike anyone I have ever known. The way you protect it, the animals, the wild places, the people who have been forgotten or silenced. Your mind is one of a kind. Intricate, complicated, brilliant, wildly intelligent, and hysterically funny. Always keeping me on my toes. Always finding ways to mess with me and make me laugh. Our life together is playful beyond anything I thought was possible never short of a goo time.
I knew I was waiting for something this great. I knew it existed. It took a minuet to find and when I followed my dreams, the rest came. Now I get to live inside it with you.
Damien, I have watched you carry years of mission with every ounce of you. You have stood for animals, for families, for wild places, and for anyone who needed a voice. You have poured everything you are into the soil of the African continent, and it shows. It shows in the people who trust you. In the land that remembers you. In the communities that rise because of the work you lead. Now you’ve poured it into us.
I am so proud.
I am deeply grateful to stand beside you as we grow Abundant Village together with our teams. I can only imagine what the future is going to look like. I know it is going to be good and it is going to be a lot of fun! We are going to take care of a lot of people and a lot of animals and have A LOT OF FUN!
