Bridget Moynahan Instagram – Love this story! • #repost @globalpositivenews Bob Moore was the founder of Bob’s Red Mill, a company known for its whole grain products in more than 70 countries.
As he grew older, Moore decided to step down from his position. Rather than selling the company to a larger food corporation, he decided to transfer ownership to his employees. In 2010, he launched an employee stock ownership plan on his 81st birthday, allowing his 209 employees at the time to gain partial ownership.
By 2020, the company had grown to 700 employees, all of whom became full owners, making Bob’s Red Mill entirely employee-owned.
Moore passed away at age 94 on February 10, 2024.
“Bob’s passion, ingenuity and respect for others will forever inspire the employee-owners of Bob’s Red Mill, and we will carry on his legacy by bringing wholesome foods to people around the world,” said a company statement.
