It’s taken me a minute to even remotely have the words to express what Elektra has meant to me. We shared something special during our time at the Duke of Yorks. As a company we laughed, sang, screamed, cried, learned how to sing “no” 100 different ways, got stronger physically and mentally, stayed connected as a unit, enjoyed cocktails hours, risked it all every show, danced at gay clubs, played games, and spoke with thousands and thousands of you at stage door. We were lead by an incredible team of creatives. And we loved every second of it. I didn’t realize how much I needed community and human interaction until this experience. It’s an honor of a lifetime to share these moments together. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It’s not lost on me that many had to travel far distances, and spend hard earned money to see us. You made it what it was, and we couldn’t have done it without you. It’s going to take a long time to unravel the riches I acquired. But know I have never been happier than giving you everything I had, every night, and I can’t wait to keep doing that in new ways. Here are some of the bittersweet fragments of that glorious last time. I’m raising a glass to what it was.
