Cara Ricketts Instagram – The kind of look you can only get with doll contacts now, It was used In the Victorian era to give the appearance of a “watery eye”. It may have also killed Juliet and appears in Macbeth. I’ve heard a lot about belladonna when researching shows I was working on but I was thrilled to find out it that my eye doctor used it (or something very close to it) during my eye exam. It was such a crazy experience because I did love the look 😅 but it was very hard to see, I kept blinking trying to correct my vision. I can’t imagine the Victorian ladies using this during the day- she would need help seeing details but I can see her using it at night since it was the extra light that was blurring my vision.
There is also a great song by @slayyyter called Miss Belladonna (one of my favourites to workout to) it’s also such a pretty plant. Belladonna also is known as “Deadly Nightshade” which sounds like a really cool rock band.
