“Água E Sal” was one of them. After losing a dear friend, I carried a silence that felt like calm, but wasn’t.
On a small island in the Mediterranean I met Marina — her dance was fragile joy, her smile a disguise for something breaking.
Between us, and between me and my friend whom I had lost, an ocean of water and salt was rising.
So this became both a love song and a grief song: tears and sweat, absence and presence, sorrow and celebration, fleeting yet eternal. Because it was shared.
