Dawnn Lewis Instagram – I graduated from the LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and landed on the @UnivMiami campus at age 16, straight out of Brooklyn! Within a few weeks I had been tapped to be the founder of and launch the Frost School of Music – Musical Theatre Degree program – becoming the programs first graduate (magna cum laude) 4 years later!
Coming back to the campus to celebrate its 100 year anniversary was an incredible experience! Seeing old classmates, meeting current students, having lunch with 100 fellow celebrated “medallion honored” alumna, teaching a class, meeting a few of my student ZETA PHI BETA sorority sisters then topping it all off with an off the charts concert, attended by over 2000 people!
The Centennial Celebration was an unforgettable experience. I was truly honored to be a part of it and beyond grateful for all that I learned and experienced during my time at “The U”!
