DeWanda Wise Instagram – The #SayHerName Mothers Network first convened by AAPF in 2016 has been at the heart of @aapolicyforum’s work to uplift the stories of Black women, girls, and femmes whose lives were stolen by state violence.
In honor of the #SayHerName Mothers Netork and the #SayHerName movement, please join us Monday, December 8 in NYC at the Atlantic Theater for a staged reading of Say Her Name: The Lives That Should Have Been, with emcee Kara Young and written by Kimberlé Crenshaw, G’Ra Asim, a.k. payne, and Julia Sharpe-Levine.
Our play seeks to capture what it means to live in a world where your loved ones can be taken without outcry or justice while using art to imagine new futures.
