Eliza Dushku Instagram – I can’t get this off my mind 👉Across the country, families are feeling the ripple effects of the federal shutdown~ thousands stand to lose or have already experienced disruptions to SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits, which help over 40 million Americans put food on the table each month.
Yesterday, a federal judge temporarily ruled that the government cannot fully suspend SNAP payments during the shutdown -an important step toward protecting families- BUT the decision does not guarantee timely or complete aid. Many communities are still bracing for delays and deep uncertainty around food security.
Here in Boston, we’re standing with @unitedsouthend , launching the Emergency Family Support Fund to provide $500 cash payments to families losing or delaying SNAP benefits so they can keep food on the table and hope in their hearts. 💛
