Harmanpreet Kaur Instagram – Even on this day, when I’m taking a pause and sitting by myself, I go back to November 2nd when we won our first Women’s World Cup trophy in India. Many such events followed, and while our dream remained the same, and the hard work put into the process remained unwavering, the one thing that I missed was the loudest cheers that came from all of you – my people, our Indian fans.
How can I be more grateful to you for reaching the stadiums hours before the team arrives, for waiting for the team bus every time we enter or depart? For showing up each day, even when we don’t entertain you to the fullest. You’ve been our biggest strength, and it’s because of your unwavering support that we’ve finally brought home this long-awaited World Cup trophy.
I am so proud to be born in this land where love grows, and people stand united to cheer. From now on, I’ll be looking forward to your presence even more, and your support needs to remain constant.
