I had the most amazing time playing Fake Jackie in the BBC’s comedy drama Just Act Normal.
Working alongside such an incredible cast and crew made this a dream job—and the fact that I got to be a part of something this fresh, funny and powerful with Brum as the backdrop? Yeah, I was living my best life ☺️
Huge love to the stars of the show: @cheneeneeee , @akinssubair & @_kaydrah_ — each of you are unforgettable in this. Your presence, your performances, your energy… I remain in awe. And not forgetting our @kelise_gordon , your brilliance radiated both on and off screen—I adored working with you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️
It was such a joy playing co-D to @sambuchanan100 —you made every scene feel like play. You were so kind and generous, I appreciate you so much x
And getting to be directed by the one and only @nathanielmartellowhite? That was next-level. His vision, patience and calm in the middle of inevitable storms 😩 was every actors dream—I was fan-girling and learning all at once x
A special thank you to @kellielicorishmakeup , who transformed me into the formidable Fake Jackie each day. As so many of us know, the makeup room isn’t always the most welcoming place for Black women—but you made it feel like home. I appreciate you more than I can say ❤️
