Ending this year by losing a part of my soul. The angel who held our family together has returned to the clouds — yet her strength still echoes through every one of us. Today, I honor my grandmother… a woman whose journey was stitched with courage, grit, and an unshakable spirit. She was a force of nature- a devoted mother of five kids who managed the careers of her two actress daughters who were ruling the Indian film industry during the 80s with strength, grace, and unwavering determination. The OG momager( Kris Jenner could never) In the 90s, she carved her own path in politics, standing tall in a space where few women dared to go, and making her voice heard with power and purpose. A wanderer at heart, she refused to stay still. We could never keep Grandma in one place for more than 3 days! From her car journeys from Kanyakumari to Delhi,to getting her US green card and constantly wanting to start businesses all over the world,we could not keep her still! And yet, she never missed a moment to make our childhood magical. Bedtime stories, lavish feasts, and memories we still taste in our hearts. Her mind never stopped exploring, questioning, learning… right until life shifted after her stroke I share this today because her story deserves to be remembered — not just by us, but by the world she touched.
