‘Of what use is a good man without ambition?’ Announcing the fantastic cast of Crown of Blood, a powerful Yoruba retelling of Shakespeare’s Macbeth set during the civil wars of 19th-century Yorubaland. Following their collaboration earlier this year, @sheffieldtheatres and @utopia_theatre present Crown of Blood, a first of its kind to be seen on UK stages, featuring Nollywood stars @_kehindebankole and @deyemitheactor plus an ensemble of the most exciting performers working in British and African theatre. Written by @agboluajeoladipo and Directed by Utopia Theatre’s renowned Artistic Director @mojisolaomoibadan, Crown of Blood was developed with the support of the @nationaltheatre’s Generate programme.
