She reveals her knack for playing characters that have experienced intense suffering or loss allows her to flex more of her creative muscles: “I just really enjoy the feeling of digging in the mud with a character, of pushing yourself and going to places that maybe are uncomfortable. But there’s always something beautiful lying within our darker sides,” she reveals. “I’m really interested in human nature and how different people react in extreme situations.
