Maalavika Sundar Instagram – Growing up in a very ambitious family and having had a guru who pushed me to do outstandingly well by criticising, I guess I put a lot of pressure on myself and anything below rank 1 or 1st prize, I would tell myself “I am fit for nothing”. I am always grateful to my family and my gurus because they have only done what they knew was best for me ♥️🙏🏾
But over the years, I think I have missed to see how much I enjoy music whether or not there is any reward for it. And I have forgotten the sheer joy of singing and have looked for validation from people around me in turn losing the whole process of why I choose music.
This season and hopefully in all my upcoming concerts, I am going to try break this pattern that I have formed all these years and try singing just for the pure joy and not to satisfy anybody else ♥️
