Mae Whitman Instagram – it’s funny; it’s almost strangely painful for me to write this post because looking back through all these pictures gives me the deepest ache of love and missing this place and these people and this project. We filmed 12 dates just a couple months after I’d had my son and I was in such a vulnerable beautiful fragile state and the people of Ireland welcomed me so generously and lovingly into their arms that I ended up having what was truly one of the most amazing filming experiences of my entire career. Every single person involved with this show was so talented at their jobs that it allowed us to incorporate fun and laughter and kindness and patience into our every day working ethos which takes real teamwork and a group who sincerely wants what’s best for each other, which to me is the most rare and most treasured thing. I made friends with people I consider family for life and will always be deeply grateful for making my first filming experience as a mother so positive and joyous. We made something we’re all really proud of and can’t wait to share it with you!!!! I miss all my yer mans and yer-ones and the joy of swimming in the magical Irish Sea every day and anxiously awaiting the day I can return but until then I’m glad we get to show the world our special show!!
