I was avoiding releasing an album because it felt like there was so much pressure and importance on what would be my FIRST album. I realized last year that I had been waiting for a group of songs that I deeply loved and felt really proud of, and this is that group. These songs pushed me to stretch as a creative and try new ideas and directions, as well as talk about things in songs I didn’t think I would be comfortable singing about but here we are with debbie downer LOL. I believe that one of my biggest roles as an artist is to share my experiences and feelings in the most enjoyable experience I can hope to create, in the hopes that it resonates with someone else or multiple someones who feel the same way. Music was a major outlet for me growing up and there were a lot of artists I would turn to whenever I was facing different obstacles, and I can only hope that I can be that artist for another personđŸ§¡
I’m so grateful to my parents for genuinely going above and beyond to help me put this together (yes that is my dad getting sucked into the shredder, and yes my mom painted the album art, and they both did a LOT more than that), all of the insanely talented people who helped me write, produce, mix, and master these songs, all of my friends for following my usually morbid ideas for music videos, and my grim reaper for being there for me and helping to solve all of my stress (usually with pasta lol). Most of all, thank YOU for listening.
