Alexis Soloski wrote a piece about me in @nytimes ( physical piece is out this Sunday Dec 21st, digital, link in bio) The pub we tried to do the interview in was too loud so we decided to walk back to my house to do it , giving my boyfriend and son 6 desperate minutes to stuff laundry into closets and try to make things look easy and breezy before we got there. (Good job guys ) I don’t love interviews because you are always ground through the sausage machine of someone else’s lens ( JESUS that is mixing some metaphors) but Alexis is a truly good, and interesting human and she mined thoughtful stuff from my head and heart ( if I do say so myself) and helped me clarify a lot of things I wonder about in my life.
