and this one in Shillong with @cherrapunji.craft.gin was exactly that.🫶🏻
From travelling through Meghalaya and dining at some truly beautiful restaurants, to stepping inside the distillery and witnessing the entire journey of how Rain distilled Botanical Cherrapunji gin is made,the machinery, the process, the botanicals, the patience, and the precision behind every bottle. Seeing it all unfold, from raw ingredients to packaging, was both grounding and fascinating.
One of the most memorable moments was sitting down to a four-course Khasi meal, followed by an evening of projection mapping that transformed the space in the most unexpected way. Later, we wound down with a couple of drinks at one of the city’s best rooftop bars, intimate, and perfectly paced.
But the most special part of this experience was getting to make our own gin,Hand-selecting botanicals and creating a limited-edition Christmas cake gin. A bottle we’ll open on Christmas. A small ritual, made meaningful by the fact that it carries memory, intention, and a moment in time.
A truly one-of-a-kind experience in Shillong,one that taught me so much about craft, storytelling, and the beauty of slowing down.
