If you’re passionate about climbing, the mountains or simply powerful human stories Pionierinnen am Berg is a documentary you shouldn’t miss. Parts of it were filmed right here in Leonidio, showcasing the beauty of our cliffs and the spirit of this place.
It follows the journeys of three remarkable women:
• Nicole Niquille @nicoleniquille Switzerland’s first certified female mountain guide, whose life took extraordinary turns yet never lost its strength.
• Nina Caprez @ninacaprez one of the most influential climbers of her generation, redefining what motherhood and high-level climbing can look like.
• Rita Christe the first woman to lead the Swiss Mountain Guides Association, pushing boundaries far beyond the rock.
Their stories are about passion, risk, resilience, and the freedom we find when we open paths simply by walking them.
