Whether it’s playing Alicent Hightower in #HouseoftheDragon or Cherry in Amazon Prime’s upcoming psychological thriller The Girlfriend, Olivia Cooke (@livkatecooke) has spent her career curating an eclectic roster of performances—unwilling to be pigeonholed. So when we asked the actor to play the part of a #MiuMiu-adorned, Manolo Blahnik-wearing frazzled (but somehow incredibly chic) woman for our Autumn Issue, it was game on. Since she left Manchester at 18 to take her acting career global, Cooke has remained unbothered by the spectacle of mega fame, despite thirteen years later, being pretty close to it. She tells us she doesn’t strive for flawlessness, instead, she embraces the cracks and contradictions of life that in turn, inform her craft—an outlook reflected in fashion and personal style right now.
