Staying in the Old City of Albufeira was honestly the best decision we made.
Our Airbnb was steps away from the beach and the old town — quiet in the morning, glowing at night, and full of tiny shops and restaurants that pull you in without trying.
And the beach… easily one of the cleanest I’ve ever been to.
The water, the cliffs, the calm… and The Rock Bar right on the sand had such amazing food and drinks that we kept going back.
Both of us are water babies, so a full beach day was non-negotiable.
We got there early, spread our towels, and just… slowed down.
I read my book, Ishan read his, we went in and out of the water, played paddle once the sun softened, meditated, napped, laughed, and just existed by the ocean.
We’re the type who can spend 10–12 hours at the beach without thinking twice — sunrise to sunset. A lot of people find it bizarre… but for us, this is our happy place.
Every trip near the water becomes a ritual.
And Albufeira gave us exactly the peace we came for.
