A celebrated Pakistani American actor, Saman Ansari has carved a remarkable career across the media landscape—from being the first female voice on Pakistan’s first FM radio station in the 90s to unforgettable roles in hit dramas like Khaani, Sammi, and Dar Si Jaati Hai Sila. With a career spanning radio, television, film, and live hosting, Saman brings a deeply personal and global perspective to the role media plays in justice and visibility.
Now based in Chicago, she’s bringing her talents stateside—and to Rūng Film Festival—for a timely and necessary conversation.
