He was the best waggler to ever wag it;
our uncredentialed and always-available therapist;
the fixed foot of our family compass;

hairstyle influencer and Instagram thirst trapper;
hind-paw balancer and speckled-belly presenter;
a fragrant and frequent friend to skunks, who never met a car or a bath he liked, or an ice cube or kale stem he didn’t;
a lady and occasional mouse killer;
the steadfastest sickbed sitter;
patient tutu and sweater wearer;
Halloween-costume winner;
zoomie enthusiast;
proud introvert in our world of extroverts;
our quiet nuzzler;
the alpha to Cookie’s omega, the big to her small;
a mysterious intuitive appearing moments before a tear was shed;
the embodiment of joy, of hearth, of home;
sprung from the pound to an international playground;
our bright star and winningest and whirliest greeter;
our sweet rescue dog to the rescue;
