We’re calling on the Prime Minister @anwaribrahim_my and the government to strengthen our arts and culture industries and we need at least 50,000 signatures! The petition will include 5 calls to the government which are:
1. Form a Taskforce made up of arts practitioners to Develop a 15-Year Arts and Cultural Blueprint.
2. Improve arts education in all public schools.
3. Uphold the fundamental rights of artists – social, economic and artistic rights.
4. That at least 0.1% of the national budget be allocated to Arts and Culture.
5. Create a dedicated Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy.
