Shraddha Musale Instagram – Navratri has so many little things that bring excitement🎉
One of my favourites has always been the tradition of 9 days, 9 colours.
I first got to know about it when I came to Bombay during my college days, through my kaki. Before Navratri, she would take out her collection of sarees for office in every shade, and we’d sit together to pick, ‘green wale din, kausi green saree, yellow hai toh kaunsi yellow’. Slowly I also started following it in college.
And the best part — Mumbai locals. The women’s compartments would be filled with the same colour… ek din sab yellow, agle din sab pink. A moving festival of joy and togetherness
Each colour has its own significance too (just googled😉)
And today it begins with white 🤍, so here I am!
