I went back to my teeny tiny hometown of Mazomanie, WI, to film most of the content for this album… to tell the part of my story I never thought was worth telling because it was so… ordinary. Boring. It took me until now to be proud of my simple roots, and see the beauty in them. After moving to LA, I was taught to think in headlines—but over time, my narrative began to feel disingenuous.
