Tiya Sircar Instagram – YEAR IN REVIEW: where do I even begin?! The last 365 have been a DOOZY, y’all. For most of us, I’d venture to say. In the last year, we’ve collectively been witness to blatant corruption, shocking injustice, mind-bending incompetence, pain & suffering at home and around the world, and so much enmity & division. And yet, there’s also been an abundance of beauty, resilience, and collective compassion which has been a salve to my troubled heart. We’ve come together in protest and in support of one another and— news to no one, I’m sure— we’ll have to continue to organize and lift each other up in the year(s) to come. But I believe in us!
Personally, this has been a year of new beginnings. One major one in particular—IYKYK AND HOT DAMN, HALLELUJAH FOR THAT! 🏡🙌🏽 I started the year exploring incredible parts of India I’d never visited before. I worked (and I thank my lucky stars for that! I know how fortunate I am to be able to say that considering the state of my industry at the moment). My sweet pup had a pretty major surgery which I’m happy to report was successful and she’s back to her spunky self, minus a few hops & limps here and there. I traveled to the Philippines with my besties and a TIIIIME was had! I protested. I protested some more. I called my legislators. And tried to do my civic duty to the best of my ability. I got to meet some of you fine folks at conventions (I promise to try and do some more in the coming year!). I witnessed friends’ nuptials and celebrated milestone birthdays. I spent time with my folks my favs back home in Austin, TX. I went on an incredible retreat in Tuscany and returned to Florence— one of my favorite places on Earth— after far too many years away. I ate incredible meals, saw beautiful sights, laughed deep, hearty belly laughs, probably cried a few times cuz hey, sometimes ya gotta let that shit OUT, and I lived & loved hard.
Thanks for coming along for the ride! Wherever you are in the world, I’m sending you much love & big hugs and wishing you a prosperous and joyous 2026. There’s much work to be done but we can do it, and get through this, together. 💖✌🏽 | Posted on 31/Dec/2025 22:15:00
