Yolanthe Cabau Instagram – Last week we celebrated the launch of GenLux holiday issue, still pinching myself seeing my first American cover out now across the US, but the greatest honor for me is what this cover and interview stands for. I was able to dedicate this entire shoot to the biggest mission of my life: my foundation Free a Girl, and the fight to end the sexual exploitation of children.
Being a cover model is a huge privilege and honor, especially in a country this big, but being able to use that space to create awareness for a subject that is so heartbreaking, painful, sensitive, and often avoided means more to me than any dream-come-true moment. Fashion and beauty make room here for what truly matters: that we all rise up together and say no to sexual child abuse.
If this cover reaches even one heart, starts one conversation, or inspires one person to take action, it will already be worth everything. 🙏🏽
I am deeply moved and incredibly grateful for this experience and for the amazing American team who made me feel so safe, seen, and supported every step of the way.
This isn’t just a cover. It’s a small step in a much bigger fight for our children. ♥️
