Almost exactly a year ago we had planned a month-long Europe trip. Everything was booked the flights, hotels, even Disneyland passes. And then at the very last moment, our visas didn’t come through.
We cancelled it all, let ourselves feel the disappointment for a minute and the very next day, we booked Bali instead. That’s how we ended up spending an entire month there and celebrating our first wedding anniversary in paradise!🌴
This year for our second wedding anniversary (02.12.2025), we kept things simple. It was a working day, so the plan was just to come home, have a drink, and head to my in-laws’ place for dinner.
Or so I thought. My husband walked in with pink flowers (my absolute favourite), a handwritten love letter (also my absolute favourite), and an ITINERARY!!!
Paris. Belgium. Amsterdam. And just when I thought my heart couldn’t take any more Disneyland passes! 🥺 The same Disneyland we had to cancel last year. The one that quietly broke my heart more than anything else.
This is the same man who is terrible at surprises, the kind who accidentally tells me everything and then complains about ruining it. Yet somehow, he managed to pull off the surprise of my dreams.
And today, on our second Telugu wedding anniversary,
we’re heading out for a picnic date at the Eiffel Tower.
I still can’t believe this is my life.
