Anya Singh Instagram – #Border2 released over the weekend and the love for the film has been overwhelming.
I’m grateful to have had the privilege to be a part of this iconic franchise which pays tribute to our armed forces and their families whose courage, strength (both mental & physical) and selflessness remain unmatched.
The film holds immense emotional value for me as it is based on the 1971 war, one of the two wars my Nana, Lt. Col. Manjit Singh Paintal fought. My Nana, then Maj. MS Paintal of the 72 Armoured Regiment led the final counter-attack at Darh Crossing, across the Manawar Tawi in Chhamb, which broke the Pakistan offensive in the area.
Border 2 has given me the opportunity to show my gratitude to my Nana through my art for the unwavering support, love and humour he has always provided me with. And of course my Nani, his greatest strength.🧿✨
