On the 26th, we gathered to offer our final farewell.
At the crematorium, as her three sons lit the pyre, the grief of the world outside merged with the quiet, unbearable sorrow within our family—the family she had nurtured with such boundless love and devotion.
In that moment, I understood the strange and sacred privilege of mourning.
Of stopping life.
Of letting sorrow flood the heart without resistance, and sharing that ache with those who loved her too.
Of holding trembling hands that seek comfort.
Of standing beside a beloved body, whispering prayers for a safe, gentle passage into the beyond.
