no kings 🚫 I can’t lie, I’m exhausted. I’m tired because I, like so many others, have had to fight for years against growing fascism. We shouldn’t have to fight for our President to follow the rules. We shouldn’t have to fight for our President to treat his citizens equally, even if they didn’t vote for him. We shouldn’t have to fight for our President to care about the welfare of his citizens. We shouldn’t have to fight for our basic human rights. We shouldn’t have to fight for our RIGHT to freedom of religion. We shouldn’t have to fight against policies which make it increasingly more difficult for EVERY American aside from the uber wealthy (ie tariffs). We shouldn’t be fighting for any of this and frankly I’m exhausted, but just because I’m exhausted doesn’t mean I won’t show up, and it doesn’t mean I will give up. There is power in numbers, and even when it feels like we can’t do something, we can. Remember, regardless of what policies you believe in, the way our President is behaving and what he is doing is disgraceful and anti-American. Presidents should unite, not divide. Presidents should care about all citizens. Presidents should lead with grace. Presidents should do what they can to make life easier for the average American. A President who cares not of divisiveness nor for the people is truly an anti-American failure. As Haymitch once said, “Remember who the real enemy is”.
