Cara Ricketts Instagram – Twelfth Night was two days ago!
And Three Kings day was yesterday.
Shakespeare doesn’t really respect time so l didn’t pay much attention to when Twelfth Night fell – until this year 😎. It kinda makes way more sense to me now. ✨Imagine partying for most of December! Advent calendars, wrapping Christmas presents at night, singing with carolers or your Mariah Carey playlist and then it’s Christmas Day, New Years and at least 5-6 more days until the 12th night or Three Kings day, -and this bossy guy (Malvolio) wants you to get it together and prep for the New Year, with resolutions to party less.
Lol, the play makes more sense to me this year and I’m not even doing it. Haha!
But if you’re in the mood for it – the Twelfth Night I did is on PBS for free online. I’ll add the link to my bio. The other two slides are what reminded me of this time of year. I was at @colsonpatisserie and they were offering Galette Des Rois to celebrate Three Kings day.
