I’m smiling here because I made it through the first trimester..but here’s an account of all the raw emotions I felt during the time! No one really prepares you for the mental part of the first trimester. The constant checking. The quiet panic. The way excitement and fear sit side by side. Some days it doesn’t feel real. Some days it feels like too much. And most days, it feels like you’re just hoping everything is okay. If you’re in this phase too—refreshing Google, holding your breath at every scan, wondering if your symptoms mean something or nothing—know that you’re not alone.
