Erica Chidi Cohen Instagram – advising companies with powerful missions has become a big part of my life post LOOM and working with @spreadthejelly has been a dream. last week was their inaugural jellymoon—a twist on the babymoon, created just for pregnant and new moms. now, you might swipe through and think this was just another brand trip but it was SO much more and here’s why:
the culture of pregnancy and motherhood in america—has long been shaped by fear and constraint. fifteen years ago, jellymoon wouldn’t have been possible. the idea of flying pregnant and newly postpartum moms abroad would’ve felt too risky, the stigma too sticky push against.
that’s why helping concept jellymoon with @itsamrit and @laurenlevinger felt disruptive and important—and hopefully signals a cultural shift: that pregnancy and parenthood needs to be a time of expansion, adventure, play, and community.
also i had a blast leading a workshop that explored the overlap between perimenopause and postpartum, reclaiming sensuality, understanding stress as a full-body event—and how to gently tend to these lesser-discussed intersections shaping motherhood today.
