Julie Tan Instagram – My mum and I were talking about how she wants to love her future grandchildren.
I told her, “If you were a mother now, with everything you know, you would be a great mum.”
She looked at me and said, “And you will be a better mother.”
We sat with that for a moment.
Of course, we wouldn’t be who we are now without walking the path we walked. Every lesson is part of our story.
I am so glad that after all these years, she never stopped trying to be a better mum, and I never stopped learning to be a better daughter. I’m grateful we kept giving each other chances to grow into better versions of ourselves, for each other.
I honestly love who we are today.
