So much of who I am is thanks to my time at Howard University. The friendships I made, the lessons I learned, and the belief that we can make a difference together. I am wishing @howard1867 and my fellow Bison a very happy Homecoming.

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. loved America. He loved our country so much that he dedicated his life — and in the end, his life was taken — in a fight for our nation’s highest ideal: Freedom. Last week, it was my honor to visit the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis. As I stood on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel where Dr. King spent his final moments, I thought about what he would see if he looked at America now. What would he think? What would he say? In his time and in ours, others seek to make us afraid, divided, and silent. We will not give them that satisfaction. As we honor Dr. King today, we continue the fight with determination, resilience, and joy.

In our country, the power is with the people. Tomorrow, October 18, I encourage you to join your neighbors in peaceful protest at a No Kings event.
Liam Ramos is just a baby. He should be at home with his family, not used as bait by ICE and held in a Texas detention center. I am outraged, and you should be too.
On January 15, 1908, nine visionary women at Howard University established a sisterhood that has changed the lives of countless women — including me. And for 118 years, we have continued to lead around the world, with purpose and in service to all mankind. Happy Founders Day, @akasorority1908!
It’s always great to be with @michael_s_regan and North Carolina’s next senator, @roycoopernc.
It was wonderful to be back in New Orleans this week, surrounded by so many people who are clear-eyed about what this country can be and what we are fighting for. Thank you @bmike2c for guiding such a thoughtful conversation, and thank you to everyone who showed up for the next chapter of the 107 Days tour.

My mother had two goals in life: To raise my sister Maya and me, and to cure breast cancer. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I honor her and her groundbreaking research that changed lives and shaped my own fight for health equity and women’s rights.
Thank you for bringing your voice to this tour, Birmingham, and a special thank you to @cthagod for leading a powerful discussion. These conversations remind us that this story belongs to all of us.
107 Days is more than a story about the past. It is a call to act with purpose. Thank you to our crowd in Durham last week for for your energy, your voices, and your clarity. Thank you, @roywoodjr, for an important conversation.
