Leena Jumani Instagram – Million Views!
When I made my first feature film Sirf Ek, my goal was to raise awareness about the alarming global issue of Sexting and, at the very least, break even—if not make substantial profits. Unfortunately, neither of these objectives was achieved when we released the film on MX Player.
So, when MX Player was being acquired by Amazon, I chose not to grant consent for my film’s transfer. I didn’t want the relentless efforts of my talented cast and crew to fade into obscurity. Instead, I decided to release the film on our YouTube channel. Today, I’m glad that one of my primary goals—reaching a wide audience—has been accomplished. Though monetization isn’t possible due to the film’s sensitive subject matter, we are successfully spreading awareness on a global scale.
Hitting the 1-million-views milestone since the film went viral a month ago is truly something to celebrate!
A heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported this film from its inception.
