Rukmini Vasanth Instagram – 2016
The year I got my first qualification in the world of acting. The year I came home from drama school not knowing if I would be able to land any acting jobs, but hoping I would nonetheless. The year I made a short film with drama school friends (miss you all!) and it was as āØcinematic āØ as you can imagine. The year my cousins took me to the Andamans to learn how to dive and I learned that breath is everything. I tried to find my āpersonal styleā in college and cycled through kurtis and bandanas, ripped jeans and reflective glasses, and finally settled on a denim jacket. A year of Snapchat filters and unholy face swaps. The year I journalled everyday and dragged myself to museums on solo dates to take selfies with Shakespeare. And the year I learned to make a home away from home.
