With Israel’s 1,000 breaches of the ceasefire since its implementation on 10 October 2024, killing at least 420 Palestinians; with the entire population in Gaza still being denied their basic humanitarian needs, amid life-threatening realities; with the erosion of our civil liberties by a UK government meant to represent the will of the majority who put them in power; with UK hunger strikers challenging these erosion of our rights being largely abandoned by our leaders and mainstream media; with the continued, flagrant tearing up of international laws and norms by Western powers – it’s high time for actions, not words, in 2026.
