Doechii Instagram – recording in mexico 2025
we traveled to Sayulita to record a few records for the album because I was suffocating in LA. I brought the boys with me my brothers my producers my friends and my girls my sisters my foodies lol
It was fabulous from the weather to the people to the little golf carts I sped in to go to the beach everyday (scaring the shit out of everyone) I learned that I work better with less … give me too much fabulosity and I’ll fully indulge in the glamour.
I was distracted this trip… the ocean was more intoxicating than the booth. The colorful nights in town were more seductive than my notebook and I realized I really just needed a vacation and friendship.
Sure we made a few bangers but I spent more time laughing than recording an album. (Is this a win or a loss? lol)
So it’s back to my shitty little MacBook mic set up in my bedroom. It works for me.
