I’m trying to be overwhelmed by gratitude for all those standing up for their neighbors and not by grief at the disrespect of our basic rights by our own government that we fund. We are all looking for advice on how to be living right now. Sometimes it’s simple reminders like “believe the people you love, love you.” This is from the Talmud.
She was beloved in her industry. Every one of us idolizes her. Her influence on culture, fashion, art and women can’t be overstated. She was a delight. I am proud I have a career that allowed me to meet her and breathe her air.
One part I loved the most from the demo days was doing incentive flights. I was fortunate to do over 80. The vast majority of the flights were for the guys and gals that fix the jet and made it happen every day…as it should be. Occasionally, we would take up various celebrities or influential community members to show them a bit of the Air Force mission. @elizabethbanks was one of those I was fortunate to fly with. To her credit, she rocked the flight. The part that stood out to me was her humility and willingness. She took time to stop and talk to each member of the team that wanted to meet her. This was all in sub zero temperatures. Other celebrities and athletes that we flew during that weekend bolted right inside. This is definitely a standout memory from my Demo days as well as that Super Bowl weekend.

But unlike most of her roles, the latter is one she may just have manifested. While moodboarding with a handful of friends, Elizabeth had a thought: “I was like, ‘What’s my Smartwater? What’s my version of that? I feel like there’s something out there that I can authentically get behind.’” After meeting with Archer Roose co-founder Marian Leitner-Waldman, Banks was all in.
