For Fatima Sana Shaikh, this year has been about stepping out – not just onto red carpets, but into a space of openness and self-discovery. “Professionally, I’ve been promoting my films, giving a lot of interviews, and stepping out more, which is a huge step for me. Normally, I’m someone who prefers staying at home and not putting myself out there too much. So, while people may know me, they don’t really know the real me,” she shares.
And through that process, she’s learned to embrace both vulnerability and authenticity. “Just being yourself, that’s what really matters,” she says. “You could be cool, or you might not be, and that’s okay. Being yourself can go either way – some people will like you and some won’t. But if you try too hard to be cool, you’ll never actually be cool.”
