Jennie Finch Instagram – What an honor to kick off and speak to over 400 athletes at the USA Softball HPP Tryouts in Vero Beach at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex. Standing there brought me right back to my own tryout days—the nerves, the excitement, the energy buzzing in the air.
I encouraged the girls to enjoy the moment, be present one pitch at a time, and remember how much work they’ve already put in to get here. Play free. Have fun. Control the controllables—your attitude and effort. Let your joy and passion for this game shine through.
It was so special seeing former teammates, current pros, coaches, friends, and even their daughters, all dreaming of wearing USA across their chest. Congratulations to all the athletes selected—I loved being surrounded by so much hope, hard work, and heart.
