Now more than ever I hunger for the wild, the weird, and the strange in the medium I love, which is movie making,” Juliette Lewis tells Flaunt Magazine. This mindset is what led Lewis to her most recent role in A24’s “OPUS,” in which she plays talk show host Clara Armstrong. The physiologically thriller follows Lewis’ character alongside a group of individuals who are invited to the compound of a mysterious pop star (played by John Malkovich) who has been missing from the public eye for 30 years. “Some things just call you,” Lewis says. RP @flauntmagazine @juliettelewis featuring @chloe Spring-Summer 2025 Collection for Issue 197, Rhythm is a Dancer Juliette Lewis is an actor, musician, and producer known for her roles in arthouse films and TV—recently, she starred as Natalie Scatorccio in the acclaimed series @yellowjackets. She’s also a member of punk band, @julietteandthelicks, for which she is the lead singer. On how her music interpolates chaos and calm, Lewis shares, “When I was younger I may have thought that recklessness might achieve a thing of beauty. When I did my band full on for six years, and [I was] whipping the audience up into a reverie with rock and roll or punk music particularly. It seemed like chaos, but it actually wasn’t…It’s totally a release and expression. There’s a harmony to it and a unity that’s profound.” Read the full story on flaunt.com! The Future is Now for music makers & music lovers! 🙌 RP @theflowcoop Happy Creative Independence Day everyone! We’re celebrating with our very first social media post! As we get closer to launch, we want to share a bit about what makes TheFlow different and how we plan to #takebackthemusic. For too long, creative people have been taken advantage of by money people. You don’t have to look far to see how unfair the system is. TheFlow has been developed as a gift to the creative community. It’s a music streaming and social media platform owned and operated by its members. Thelow runs on the most powerful technology platform ever created to enable artists to share and profit from their work while building deep connection with their communities. Here are our values. We show exactly how the money flows from point A to point B so you can see the financial impact of your music as an artist or audience member. When you pay for our subscription or listen to the ad-supported version, your money goes to the artists you listen to. Trust All users on TheFlow are verified, not just a select few. This enables a much higher level of integrity by ensuring bots can’t be used to manipulate TheFlow as they do on all other platforms. We also commit to full disclosure if or when Ai is used throughout our platform. We invite all other platforms to do the same. Connection Music is fundamentally about connection to our feelings and each other. We believe artists should have direct access to their community. This means artists see all of their own data at TheFlow and can directly connect with all their followers. We’ve created an environment for people to connect in a much healthier way. We celebrate and promote our best qualities like authenticity, kindness, curiosity, creativity, inspiration, and respect… and those who exhibit these qualities have their profiles and posts elevated on TheFlow. We’re excited to start building a much healthier environment for creativity and connection with all of you. If you want to help, follow us on Instagram and share this post with as many people as possible. Happy Creative Independence Day! We love you!
Long live community & independent cinema RP from director @rodblackhurst ・・・ Something magical happened at Fantastic Fest. Audiences and journalists who stayed through the end credits of DOLLY noticed something unusual (no spoilers, promise); a TIP JAR featured on screen with QR codes linked to all the major money apps. It’s the first time something like this has been done in a feature film’s credits. And while it might seem cheeky at first, the idea comes from the reality that filmmakers are always paid last for their work, if they’re paid at all. So we’re experimenting. Not to shame audiences or guilt anyone, but as a way for filmmakers to benefit immediately (even if it just allows us to buy more avocado toast). Everyone wants to make money – certainly us! What blew my mind at Fantastic Fest was how many people started asking about it – and talking about it. Some journalists and critics wrote about it in their reviews, others asked me about it in interviews. The team at No Film School talked about it with us in an upcoming podcast episode. That kind of response has been heartening, and given me hope – because it suggests people understand what’s at stake here, not just for one film, but for all filmmakers and their creative endeavors.
