As his administration has faced growing criticism following the shooting of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, President Trump announced he’s sending his border czar to Minnesota and said he’s on a “similar wavelength” as Gov. Tim Walz. For his part, Walz says he urged Trump to reduce number of federal agents on the ground and allow an independent investigation.
Alex Pretti cared for Marta Crownhart, a veteran, in the ICU earlier this month. Tonight she tells me, “It was heartbreaking to see the video. It was heartbreaking to know when I found out it was him. What was worse was listening to Kristi Noem talk about him the way she did.”
