Karen Chuang Instagram – December 8, 2025 :: This is an excerpt of “A part, apart,” which is a piece I created for LMU Dance Department’s Class of 2026. I merged commercial and concert dance methodologies to explore themes of conformity, individuality, and identity. Elements of this piece were inspired by Entity Contemporary Dance, Shuudan Koudou, and Alexander Ekman. Thank you Marissa Osato, Will Johnson, Rosalynde LeBlanc, and department chair Taryn Vander Hoop for this opportunity!
