I will never forget seeing Easy Rider in high school. 🏍️ I walked straight to the record store after and bought The Band, Music From Big Pink. ☀️ The song The Weight hit me like a freight train and that album felt like freedom.
I also immediately bought bell bottoms, a peasant blouse and a crochet hat, and I briefly tried Marlboro Reds because I was fully committed to the vibe. They looked better than they tasted! Lesson learned.
Music does that. It wakes up pieces of you that were just waiting. 💛
Years later I never imagined the family of @robbierobertsonofficial would ask me to re-record @the_band_official_ ‘s only Christmas song, Christmas Must Be Tonight. What an honor.
